About the role

As an investigator within the urban development operations, you will become a key person in providing qualified support to management and operational managers.

You will contribute to strategic, operational, and development-oriented issues and ensure that the municipality has effective governance and long-term development. The role acts as a cohesive link between analysis, planning, follow-up, and communication.

In the role of investigator, you will among other things:

  • Conduct qualified investigations, analyses, and reports within the urban development area.
  • Prepare decision-making bases, governing documents, consultation responses, and policies.
  • Compile and analyze operational data and financial follow-ups.
  • Coordinate planning, follow-up, and development of goals, key figures, and operational plans.
  • Coordinate and ensure the quality of reporting to municipal management, authorities, and external actors.
  • Participate in projects and development efforts related to various parts of the urban development sector (planning, environment, technology, water and sewage, building permits, infrastructure, etc.).
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and routines.
  • Follow up and analyze national and regional trends. Act as a contact point and coordinator between different administrations and external partners.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in urban planning, political science, public administration, environmental science, technology, geography, economics, or another relevant field.
  • Experience in qualified investigative and analytical work within municipal or public operations.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, as well as English at a professional level.
  • Good experience with Office 365 and preferably experience with digital analysis tools, GIS, or statistical programs.
  • If you have knowledge of urban development issues and politically governed organizations, it is an advantage.
  • Experience in project management, operational follow-up, or process development is also an advantage.

About the position

The position is a permanent employment. A probationary period may be applied. Start date according to agreement.
